A unique volume of its kind, illustrating for the first time all the saints of the liturgical calendar and popular tradition. 380 images, ranging from world-famous works of art to more recent depictions, present outstanding figures from the history of the Church. Each brief entry presents the saint's historical background, with the etymology of the saint's name, the saint's traditional iconography, and a list of the occupations, countries, and cities under the saint's patronage.

This richly illustrated text portrays more than 375 Catholic saints, arranged by the days of the year on which each beatified figure is honoured. Up to three saints have been chosen for each day of the year, with a brief accompanying description of each.

About the Author:

Rosa Giorgi is an art historian who specializes in iconography and iconology; in addition to writing, she teaches at the Catholic University and the Brera Picture Gallery in Milan. She is involved with many art organizations, including the Italian fine art commission. Her most recent publications include books on Caravaggio, Velasquez and El Greco. She is also the author of Saints in Art (2002) and Angels and Demons in Art (2003).

Flat-rate shipping is available for $9.95 for orders placed in the U.S.

Heavy-goods shipping for oversized items is available for $29.95 for orders placed in the U.S.

Free ground shipping is provided for orders placed in the U.S. over $100.

International shipping is available for $29.95 (standard) & $49.95 (heavy goods) for orders placed outside of the U.S.

In-Store Pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our Harrison Ave. location. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1-5 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. 

Our in-store pickup hours are 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, & 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sundays. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at thecustomerservicemuffins@gmail.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Online purchases may be returned or exchanged within 30 days.

In-store purchases may be returned or exchanged within 3 days.

All items must be returned in their original condition and are subject to a 12% restocking fee. Exchanges are not subject to the fee.

Final Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.
